Yarrow- fight helplessness, continue despite fear. Potions: (5 key seals- 5 keys to altair’s library) Tiger eye (pebbles)- strength, drive, motivation, achieving goals Garnet- connection between spirit and body, protector, represents blood White Agate- overcoming tragedy and negativity Labradorite- transformation, awakening, becoming aware of self/truthĬarnelian- inner strength, gaining control of anger and emotion, using it to help you Stilbite Cluster with Apophyllite- Intuition, guidance (apophyllite- being a vehicle or messenger) And for someone who says they weren't always sure of their own purpose, it seems that his conviction is at the center of the story, providing a vital connection between the past and present, and between the group and the individual. He has a journey of self and one connected to others. Not only is he a conduit, he has his own story. So I wanted to show that connection both to the past and to the future, both to Altaïr and to Desmond and the others in the brotherhood. It's being able to process both personal and collective grief, and both personal and collective consequences.
Like, he doesn't even know what the point of all of this crap is, but he knows there IS a point and that's what's important.
And to be able to have that almost-blind trust is something admirable as well. Lastly, I enjoyed the fact that Ezio is super aware of what’s going on- from what he tells Desmond, that they are blessed to be able to communicate- he knows that their situation is a privilege, and knows that his life goes beyond himself, that his actions will affect many people in a future he can't even comprehend. Similar to Altaïr, he uses the hardships in his life instead of letting them use him. From the prideful attitude of his youth, it's a true instance of growing up and gaining wisdom. And even after that, he enables others to reach their true potential. It's like, ok Desmond, I lived this life so you could witness it, and so I could pass on this message to you, and here it is. And in a way, he's right- there are some things you're just not meant to know. And when he has an opportunity to expand his knowledge with the apple, he declines, saying he's seen enough for one lifetime. He knows that he's just a messenger, that he's there to help Desmond, and if that's what the deal is then he's gonna do it. What's more, he uses that wisdom and passes it onto others as a mentor, even after he leaves the order behind.Īnother thing I really liked was his conversations with Desmond, and his understanding of his life's meaning. He's a passionate person in all aspects of his life - and haughty, although that manages to change into wisdom and some humility as life goes on instead of just hubris. Instead of continuing to be helpless, he takes control of his own fate. Obviously after his family is killed he's got a great deal of anger and grief to deal with, but he's able to use them to further his mission.
That I am only a conduit, for a message that eludes my understanding."įor this box, I wanted to go with the premise that Ezio struggles to come into his destiny and that after a traumatic event, he's sort of forced to accept who he is and use it to help himself. "I have lived my life as best I could, not knowing its purpose, but drawn forward like a moth to a distant moon and here at last, I discover a strange truth.
